inka bachpan?
Kabhi kude ke dhero mein to kabhi sadak ke kinare pe
Dekha hai inhe yu har din guzarte hue
Aur inke bachpan ko zindagi se harte hue....dekha hai
Kya kisi din ye bhi apni ma se hat karte honge?
Ya kabhi kisi khilone ko khreed khush hote honge?
‘Mujhe halwa puri khila do ma’ kabhi kehte bhi honge?
Ya nayi kameez pehen ke janamdin pe hanste honge?
Ye sabhi to aasmani baatein hain inke liye
Janamdin kya janam ki tareek tak na dhyan hogi
Puri ki kya hat kare jab roti poori padti nahi
Inke gharo mein kai baar chulhe ki aag tak jalti nahi
Kya karenge kya bangenge koi na jaane koi na soche
Koi kisi andhi galiyon mein bhatak jayega
Koi yu hi zindagi bhar kaam karta jayega
Shayad hazaron mein koi ek aisa bhi dikhe
Jo in gumnam jahan se pare naam kamayega....shayad!!!

Indianized CWG
When anything comes to
For
But on a second thought I think why to blame these people? They have been between us and within us since ages. From the very first day of the idea of CWG in
After repeated bombardment of this question in my head finally I got a convincing answer. May be if the name of Common Wealth Games was not been abbreviated to CWG this all problem would not have aroused. Because the moment the name was abbreviated to CWG it was adopted by the IFCD (Indian Family of Corrupt Departments). The other senior members of this family which have earned their name and fame over the years and almost every Indian is familiar of its multiple talent in corruption are MCD, PWD etc. so when we say CWG its understood that a new member has joined the group and by now it is grown-up and had shown its true colors. CWG is a full-fledged body with all its mentors well settled. They got enough time and space to make the optimum utilization of this short-termed opportunity. Their bags and mouth are full and now that they have become visible they have earned enough to buy sunglasses for others.
And the pitiful people of

talash....
Zindagi ko kya kahe zindagi ka dosh nahi
Kissa hai umeedon ka, aashaon ka bojh nahi
Kuch sochte hai kya sochte hain, ulajh se jaate hain
Hum aksar apni hi baton se behek se jate hain
Aansuo ka daur nahi, dil ka bhi shor nahi
Bas kuch samajh nahi aata baat kuch aur nahi
Na raat ki tanhaee hai, na din bhar ka kaam
Naa subah gum bhari hoti hai na akeli hai shaam
Phir bhi kuch hai jo nahi hai mere paas
Na jaane kaisa hai ye bhara sa khali sa ehsaas
Bolon ki kami nahi, baton ki katare bhi hai
Hansi ke zhoke bhi hain, pyaar ki bauchare bhi hai
Ajeeb sa sab lagta hai phir bhi aaj kal
Apne ho ke bhi jud nahi paa rahe hain mujhe ye sare pal
Par zindagi ko kya kahe zindagi ka dosh nahi…………

Barish ki ye boondein kabhi kabhi mere barje pe bhi aati hain
Aaj bhi jab kuch boondein chitak ke mujhpar aati hain
To dil kho jata hai us hari hari ghaas ki chadar pe
Jinpar mere nanhe kadam thamte nahi they
Mann ro padta hai un saathiyon ke liye
Jinke saath guzarta tha wo bheega bheega sa lamha
Kaise kab beet gaye, ek badal ki tarah gujar gaye
Ab na ghaas ki chadar hai na hi wo saathi
Phir bhi lagta hai shayad ab bhi kuch pal hain baaki
Jinme mein khud ko samet kar in boondon ke hawale kar doon
Chah kar bhi in baucharon ko gale se lagane ki chah nahi jaati
Jab barish ki ye boondein kabhi kabhi mere barje pe hain aati

In search of peace for my soul
With these questions in heart, I stood up leaving my dead body behind, I wish my family would able to find me among so many bodies. I don’t want to think about my family, my friends, my loved ones, as thoughts about them will make me even more weak. Its so tough to leave them, but what they are going to feel once they will be informed is even more scary. So I decided to first find answers to my questions. I walked through the lying bodies, crying people, group of policemen, cults of saved lives, noise of arriving ambulance, horns of autos and taxies. I kept wandering on the streets of Mumbai for next 30 minutes or so. Everything seemed so fine, then why me? I saw there was a crowd standing outside a television shop. I went out of curiosity to find the reason. A newsreader was telling about a terrorist attack on Mumbai which has taken place half-n-hour ago at the CST station. Someone had open fired on the people at the station which has claimed around 30 lives and many injuries. I knew I was among those 30 people. At least now my family would know where I am.
So those were terrorists who killed me, but why me, what have I done to them. The newsreader read that there were attacks at ten different locations in Mumbai, and that they have entered hotels like Taj and Oberai. Although by now I knew who killed me and to some extent why, but it disturbed me more. I headed towards the The Taj to at least get a glace of the person who slayed me.
While I was heading towards the hotel so many questions banged in my head like—how do these terrorists look like, are they humans or something else, are they born like we are born, do they have mother and parents, did they play with toys when they were young, and their mother loved them and protected them from all odds, do they know it hurts even when we cut our finger with a kitchen knife, do they love music, do they drink the same water what we drink, is their blood cold or warm red or black, do they love small children and smile back when a baby smiles at them, have they ever fell in love with nature, with people, with colors, had they ever known what is happiness……there were so many such questions ringing in my head as I reached the Taj. I saw a media clutter there with cameras and mikes, there were policemen in and around the hotel, and sounds of bullets were coming now and then. I went inside passing the policemen standing at the entrance. Inside the world had changed. There were bodies lying everywhere. So, I thought, they did the same thing here. I was even more eager to see their face, what does this terrorist look like. As I went ahead I saw a young boy hiding behind a wall. He was hit by a bullet on his arm. He was bleeding but stood quietly. The sound of firing was coming from the next room. I wished this boy makes out of the hotel and went ahead. I saw hotel staff helping a group of people to move out of the hotel quietly from a service gallery. I was happy to see at least some people being able to save their lives.
For sometime there was complete silence everywhere. I saw someone carrying a big shoulder bag, hiding behind the walls and coming towards me, I was in face-to-face with terror. One of the terrorists was standing right in front of me holding a gun. A tall young good-looking boy, hardly 22 or 23 years old, a boy who should be holding a pen or a laptop was holding a gun, shoulders which should have carried responsibilities of family n country were holding a bag full of explosives, and I again and again looked at him trying to convince myself that he was one of the faces of fright. How could he do this, kill innocent people whom he never knew, enter a place and open fire at anything and everything, I cant believe this. Right at that moment, someone trying to escape ran down the staircase. Not to my belief this human-looking figure fired at him till the man fell dead. I stood there numb trying to accept as true what I have just seen. Deflated and dazed I decided to leave the hotel and wait till this is over, as I can not see more of this. Though I was dead but every time I saw a dead body I died again. I left the bloody staircase, frightened people, under-equipped policemen who were combating these trained loaded militants, and came outside the hotel. As I reached outside I saw some of the people being taken in ambulances to hospital, I was pleased to see the boy also in that group whom I met inside. I waited with everyone else for next two days till the last terrorist was killed. I came to know that near to 200 hundred people died. Some of our brave policemen and army people gave their lives for the sake of the nation.
When I thought about these terrorists, I found that although they were killed in last two days but in reality they died long before. There was no life in them; they don’t know what is love, happiness, peace, bond and togetherness. They are worse than the cold blooded animals; they are just the puppets of a few demons that use them as bombs to kill peace in this world. They don’t have name, family, nation, friends; they are brutal, heartless, bloodless, ill-creatures between us.
About me, I am still here, in between the people of India, unsatisfied, confused, angry searching for peace. I wish I lie in peace someday……..

They never knew they were friends
These two middle class families with many others used to live in a multi-floored building better known as ‘chawl’ in Mumbai, India. In this chawl and several similar residential complexes the real Mumbai resides. Complex is the right world to identify with the kind of life they lead facing several problems and complications.
Coming back to Tiwari-Iyar story, they were the biggest enemy for each other. One can find same kind of one man armies of ‘kauravas’ and ‘pandavas’ in different houses there. On a new fresh morning Mr. Iyar was spreading his wet loongi on a wire stretched in front of his house. As soon as he tried to unwrinkle his clothe, the loongi hit Mr. Tiwari’s flowerpot and the pot fell down. It was the only plant of his house, apart from tulsi. For him one was a plant and two was a garden. Someone wiped out his garden. Although the rose plant was of no use, because whenever a bud changed to a beautiful rose, it was being plucked and placed on the door of a lady living on the next floor alone. Her name was Mira. He used to shout at the chawl children standing on the gallery, and the children in return teased him by saying “kyon uncle phir gulab Mira aunty ko de diya” means Uncle, have you again given the flower to Mira aunty?"
Mira was a middle aged woman. She lived alone. Owning a beauty parlor in the society itself made her a popular figure there. She was a mobile advertisement for her parlor as she was always fresh and loaded with make-up. Mr. Tiwari did not like this lady and was very orthodox. He even did not want his wife to visit the Mira Parlor, and for her daughter he thought it was hell. Along with the Tiwari family also lived two Jr. Tiwaris, his two sons. All three of his children were in collage.
With Mr. Iyar the case was different. He used to admire Mira Madam (as she was popularly known) a lot. He lived with his son, who was working with an insurance company. Mr. Iyar was manager at an Indian based tourism company. His wife was no more and he was a widower for last 6 years. The whole society knew that he was in love with Mira Madam, but no one dared to comment him, because his son had connections with the so-called dada (rowdy) of the area.
Another day started with Mr. Tiwari standing in the row for entering the bathroom, best place he every chawl person thought for getting away from day-to-day problems, Mr. Iyar was busy inside solving his own tensions. Everyone waiting outside was yelling, “abe madrasi so gaya kya” that meant “Hey! The Man from Madras, are u asleep? In this whole scene Tiwari ji, as he was addressed in the society, was very happy, because everyone was angry on Iyar. After 20 long awaited minutes, Iyar was standing outside, with a smile on his face, as if he just had just conquered a fort. Ignoring what everyone was saying, he came next to Tiwari ji, stopped for few seconds, gave him a proudy look, shrugged his shoulder and moved away like a drunken elephant.
Tiwari got irritated, so much that he wished he can sit for the whole day inside the bemired, smelly and mushy toilet like he is sitting in a park, keeping Iyar waiting outside troubled and knocking the door. He was lost in his thoughts and his number came to enter the botanica of his dreams. By the time he was free from the loo, his anger had subsided. But he was planning to take revenge some how.
Every morning, Iyar delivered his prayers for 1 hour. That is why he tried to finish his morning courses by 9 A.M. so that he can devote his next 1 hour to God. Tiwari had a plan. He went back, broke a jar of a neighbor, that was kept in the gallery and started moving back to his house. This neighbor lived next to Iyar. The owner of the jar, a fat lady, wife of Mr. Dandekar came outside with the balen in her hand, and started screaming at Mr. Tiwari standing in front of Iyar’s door.
The plan was successful. Tiwari felt victorious. The more the lady shouted, the more enjoyment of Tiwari rised. He was no less and just to irritate Iyar he was replying back to the lady in the same tone. Now all he was waiting for was Iyar to come out. After 10 minutes, when Iyar gave up his fight for concentrating on his prayers, and the bawling outside was more audible than his chants, he opened the door gasping who is making the belligerent nonsense there. He found his best enemy and a neighbor happily cracking on each other. Tiwari looked at him, gave a badgering smile, remained quite for a moment, said sorry to Mrs. Dandekar and went inside his house like an innocent cow. Iyar was pestered to the peak and the only thing he wanted to do that moment was to go and break a similar jar on Tiwari’s head, and come back.
The days passed with similar knick-knacks. Three months after, Iyar had to go for few months to his mother as his father expired. Tiwari was happy. Not for the incident, but for the absence of Iyar from the chawl for sometime.
Now every morning he woke up early, went to the loo before 9, took out a chair and sat in front of his house, in the gallery reading newspaper, as if the whole chawl belonged to him, and he was a happy and satisfied owner. About half-a-month passed, and Tiwari was quieter. He had no unwanted talks with the neighbors and no scolding of children. He quietly went to his office without saying a word or warning his wife for not going to the Mira Parlor. Even he did not shout on the children who again plucked his rose and placed it in front of Mira’s house. Instead, he went to her house, knocked the door and said sorry for the incident, mentioning that it’s the little children and their small pranks. Even Mira was surprised, because she had never seen Tiwari ji so polite. She was wondering if anything has gone wrong in his house. Previously when the children used to play such pranks with him, he used to come to Mira’s door, take the flower and throw it in the dustbin.
He, himself was surprised by his behavior. He knew the reason but was not able to accept it. He thought it was impossible. The world can shrink, the sun can stop rising, but this cannot be the reason. He always asked himself “I am missing Iyar? And then himself answered the question, “This is not possible.” Even his wife could make out the reason, and was taunting him one day. “Aha! So you are missing your dear enemy Iyar right.” Tiwari got angry, banged his door and went to the terrace.
But, it was true, he was missing Iyar indeed. He gave up his ego and accepted the fact. After Iyar went, he used to give a snoopy look to Iyar’s door every morning and evening and wondered when he was returning. But now he started asking thy neighbors about his come back date and wellness of Iyar’s family. Once even he asked Iyar’s son about his father. Jr. Iyar was shocked to the core. He somehow managed to tell Tiwari about his father’s returning date, and astonishingly watched Tiwariji walking away quietly.
Three months passed, Iyar came back, as soon as his son opened the door, the first question he asked was about Tiwariji. He wanted to know from his son whether Tiwariji tried to annoy him in his absence. The answer was simple no. Iyar was in the same mood as he left the chawl three months back, and was looking for ways to restart the match. Once again in the loo queue, Iyar came out of the toilet after a long time, and gave Tiwariji a bugging look. What happened next was unbelievable for Iyar. He was not so much surprised even when the Indian government completed its five years smoothly, nor even when his 12th passed son got the job of manager with a good company. It was an act, for which he wished he had a video recording where he can demand for a replay to believe it. It was so unrealistic for him to get a smile from Tiwariji, and that too after an incident where he tried to beleaguer him. He gave a quizzical look to Tiwari and walked away wondering about what had just taken place. On the way back home he even pinched himself to find out whether he was awake.
The days were going, Tiwari was quite and gentle, and Iyar was confused. He was not able to take this anymore and somehow managed to handover a slip to Mr. Tiwari that mentioned about their secret meeting on the terrace that night after everyone was asleep.
Iyar reached the terrace at 11 p.m. and stood there perplexed and amazed. After 30 minutes Tiwari came and asked Iyar very politely and smilingly about the matter. Iyar quickly questioned Tiwari keeping a very inquisitive look on his face “Why are you doing this to me.” Tiwari innocently questioned back about what was he doing? Rather he said he was doing nothing. “That’s it. Why aren’t you doing anything against me?” was the next loud question fired at Tiwari. Tiwari kept smiling and Iyar was more confused for what he was saying, he himself did not understand. Tiwariji said nothing, and gave a note to Iyar and went back. The note said “Can we be friends?”
The whole night Iyar could not sleep. He was thinking “Is this possible?” The world can shrink, the sun can stop rising, but this cannot happen. After a long confused and thoughtful night, he rose from his bed in the morning, opened the door and shouted in his full voice. “Tiwari come outside.” Tiwariji came and stood wondering what has happened. Along with this many other came out to enjoy a yet new episode of Tiwari-Iyar after a long gap. But now was the time for them to get confused. Iyar said “Yes we will be friends.”
The two old friends hugged each other, and realized that they were always there for each other but never realized.

Is Old still Gold
Remember the sweet stories our granny used to recite to us....and the games our granpa bought for us, our mother peeping from the window every now-n-then for us to return from school and dad taking us to fairs enjoying with us the big wheels and swings..............
They are the sweet memories we get nostalgic with, their love and care, their cuddles and pamper, everything seems so beautiful, like the fairy tales where a child is led by the mother-fairy to the dreamy world of clouds, stars and chocolates!! All seems so soft and touchy.
Is our present world the same? Where have the loving oldies gone? Are they with us? Is their pace grown slow and they are left behind? Whatever may be the case, one this is true...whenever we will turn back and see them, we will find them smiling and blessing us.
But, that’s not all. They held our hand and helped us in our decisions, smiled with us, cried for us, ran with us at our dawdling speed taking baby steps, ate with us like a child and even lived for us, but now when their hands are old, still ready to be beside us in any lows of life, when they need a support while standing up from chair......we are far more busy in buying Italian furniture, visiting malls and running for achieving something which has no destination.
Our sweet old grannies and parents are left behind...far-far behind.....they are not able to cope up with this fast moving life...but they will never stop us......Although may be at times we don’t talk to them for months...but whenever we will call up, they will be more than happy to hear our voice.....
Let’s sit down for a while and think and we will find that they are still living for us...still praying for our success and still longing to be with us. All they want is few moments of togetherness, love and care......and the busy people of today’s world are not free to even share this much!!!
We the materialistic and selfish people of today’s world have forgotten the most valuable assets of life...mother's touch of care, father's hand for crossing the road, sweets made by granma and jokes told by granpa......Sigh! we have forgotten all this :-(

Do You know Hindi?
Why such an auspicious and magical language is facing such a negligence and disrespect? There's a mentality in these cities, people speaking in Hindi in places like Barista, Cafe CoffeeDay and all the discos etc. is not happening. It’s not in...its so outfashioned........even the big schools have the discipline and rules where a student cannot talk in Hindi, or else he will be fined, but those who are leaving their language behind don’t know that, one day will come when their next generation will be in school, or they would meet some foreigner, and when they will ask them meaning of some Hindi words these people will either shy away or look through the pages of Hindi dictionary. That will be a shame for all of us. Going with the trend is not a bad thing, but leaving your own culture and language behind is disgraceful.
Remember the CBSE topper of the year 2006 (i don’t remember her name), but she did not get selected in a high profile school because she was not that well versed with spoken English. That will bring so much embarrassment to us. The people of Hindustan don’t know Hindi...how ironic!!! You would be wondering, if i support Hindi so much, why i posted this blog in English. Because I know the mentality, I have met such people.......when it comes to reading Hindi, it seems like they are reading French, Greek or German...or might be they know all of these languages better than Hindi.....Quiet Possible!!!!!

Forty-Watt Bulb
These twinkling lights dangling from the roofs of the cottages say more than what we observe
Find out what message they convey to me....
40 watt bulb…
Remember the rhythm of the train
And the splashes of air every now and then
And outside you see dark fields, in the moonlight,
And a small cottage where hangs something golden
Far far away the little bulb glows
And attracts my attention
I keep gazing at it, like a stranger
Wondering how and when….
The 40 watt bulb vanished from our lives
And we forgot those fluctuations
How we were curious about the filament inside
And collected the bases like some gems
These silent huts, still burn them bright
Like they stand there for showing us some way
Many passerby would have ignored the stillness
But the golden dazzle quietly sways
The life around this bulb is the same
Full of dimness full of shades
but like the intensity inside the bulb
smiles their wrinkled face
they remind me of how materialist we have been
and haven’t seen the realism of our core
which glows like the mid day sun,
but we have been blind as we have ignored
I need to go back to my basics
And for this I need my souls help
When I will be able to emit radiations
Like the tranquility of a 40 watt bulb
Do tell me what they utter in your ears
rest in next blog..........

Introducing Myself
My introduction is "my writings"...........
Lets get introduced
My childhood and rain…..
When I was small I used to enjoy the droplets,
Falling on my cheeks, falling every where...
As the time passed I missed the charm of the rain,
it came it went, I never used to care...
Suddenly after 15 years, some thing happened,
which was forced to remember by everyone…
the thunder shower washed away my city
and in pain was every one.
For a moment in those days, I remembered my childhood,
when the rain was a time to play…
but today every one is suffering around me
and I don’t have a word to say......"
This defines something about me...................rest in next blog
till then keep smiling
