Is Old still Gold

Remember the sweet stories our granny used to recite to us....and the games our granpa bought for us, our mother peeping from the window every now-n-then for us to return from school and dad taking us to fairs enjoying with us the big wheels and swings..............

They are the sweet memories we get nostalgic with, their love and care, their cuddles and pamper, everything seems so beautiful, like the fairy tales where a child is led by the mother-fairy to the dreamy world of clouds, stars and chocolates!! All seems so soft and touchy.

Is our present world the same? Where have the loving oldies gone? Are they with us? Is their pace grown slow and they are left behind? Whatever may be the case, one this is true...whenever we will turn back and see them, we will find them smiling and blessing us.

But, that’s not all. They held our hand and helped us in our decisions, smiled with us, cried for us, ran with us at our dawdling speed taking baby steps, ate with us like a child and even lived for us, but now when their hands are old, still ready to be beside us in any lows of life, when they need a support while standing up from chair......we are far more busy in buying Italian furniture, visiting malls and running for achieving something which has no destination.

Our sweet old grannies and parents are left behind...far-far behind.....they are not able to cope up with this fast moving life...but they will never stop us......Although may be at times we don’t talk to them for months...but whenever we will call up, they will be more than happy to hear our voice.....

Let’s sit down for a while and think and we will find that they are still living for us...still praying for our success and still longing to be with us. All they want is few moments of togetherness, love and care......and the busy people of today’s world are not free to even share this much!!!

We the materialistic and selfish people of today’s world have forgotten the most valuable assets of life...mother's touch of care, father's hand for crossing the road, sweets made by granma and jokes told by granpa......Sigh! we have forgotten all this :-(
