Do You know Hindi?

This is my third post and this time no poetry. I was wondering if i could post a Hindi poetry here, because when i think deep and look for words with weight and meaning...i go for Hindi...Hindi is a beautiful language and gives us a lot more space to express in comparison to English. Now a days, the beauty of Hindi is diminishing from the metros and big cities, people don’t talk that much in Hindi, and at times they feel proud of asking certain words meaning and spellings.

Why such an auspicious and magical language is facing such a negligence and disrespect? There's a mentality in these cities, people speaking in Hindi in places like Barista, Cafe CoffeeDay and all the discos etc. is not happening. It’s not in...its so outfashioned........even the big schools have the discipline and rules where a student cannot talk in Hindi, or else he will be fined, but those who are leaving their language behind don’t know that, one day will come when their next generation will be in school, or they would meet some foreigner, and when they will ask them meaning of some Hindi words these people will either shy away or look through the pages of Hindi dictionary. That will be a shame for all of us. Going with the trend is not a bad thing, but leaving your own culture and language behind is disgraceful.

Remember the CBSE topper of the year 2006 (i don’t remember her name), but she did not get selected in a high profile school because she was not that well versed with spoken English. That will bring so much embarrassment to us. The people of Hindustan don’t know Hindi...how ironic!!! You would be wondering, if i support Hindi so much, why i posted this blog in English. Because I know the mentality, I have met such people.......when it comes to reading Hindi, it seems like they are reading French, Greek or German...or might be they know all of these languages better than Hindi.....Quiet Possible!!!!!
